Far too often, and for far too long, we’ve been fed the idea that Moses is the main character in the Book of Exodus. He’s been portrayed as a larger-than-life-super-leader, and the one on whom the fate of the Hebrews rests. While Moses is a central part of the Exodus story, the story itself betrays the fact that Moses is consistently a little part of the story. That’s good news for us, helping us to see our own story in the context of the immensity of God.
