Thank you for checking out our website! We hope it has shown us to be friendly and authentic people on a journey together as we are shaped to look more and more like Jesus. At the end of the day, however, a website cannot be more than a website. We warmly welcome you to join us in person, either on a Sunday morning or at any of our regular weekly events so we can get to know each other better!
Here are some answers to a few common questions you may have:
1. Where are you located?
We are on Glover Road, just north of 88th avenue. Look for us on the east side of the road just past Simpson Manor and before Fort Langley Elementary School.
2. When are your worship celebrations?
Presently we have one worship celebration on Sunday morning from 10am until about 11:15am.
3. What is a typical worship celebration like?
We are intergenerational in makeup and contemporary in style. Celebrations include prayer, a worship band leading singing, and a relevant teaching time based on the Bible. We love to laugh together as we celebrate our God and what He is doing in our lives as individuals and as a church family.
On most Sundays, we also have time with coffee and fresh baking. Stick around for a bit and you'll meet some fantastic people!
4. Where do my children go? And my preteens or teens?
After about 30 minutes of family time of worship together in the sanctuary, the children go to age appropriate classes to learn about Jesus in ways suitable to them. Kids from birth to 2 year olds head to either the nursery or room 109, ages 3-4 ("Junior Jumpers") meet upstairs in room 211, and grades 1-4 ("Frog Squad") meet in room 205, grade 5-6 girls meet in room 209, and grade 5-6 boys meet in room 210.
Grades 7-9 Sunday School typically goes for a time of teaching when the children do but also join the adults in the service a couple of times a month. Most Sundays, they will meet upstairs in the Upper Room while older teens (grades 10-12) are encouraged to participate in the full worship service every week. (For more information on junior and senior high activities through the week, click on "Ministries" at the top of this page.)
5. What should I wear?
Come as you are! Generally speaking, we are a casual church. You will find a range of dress styles from jeans, t-shirts and shorts, to those in suits and ties. Come dressed however you are comfortable and you will fit right in.
6. Where do I go for help once I get there?
If you need help on arrival, please speak to one of the friendly people greeting at the door. There are plenty of warm smiles throughout the congregation and a handshake from the ushers as you find your seat. Any of these people will be happy to assist you in any way they can. If you have any questions, please call (604-888-7131) or e-mail us and we'll be happy to answer your questions!
