FLAG INITIATIVETHE BLANK DOLLAR BLESSING The return of this FLAG Initiative was inspired by the story of one of our Fort Family members. - it may involve just handing them the money However you use it, use it to display the Kingdom-to show someone God's love and care and goodness. And use this opportunity to present the King: tell the recipient of the blessing- in whatever words you believe God wants you to- that God is the source, and His love is the inspiration for the gift! |

HERE TO HELP
This is a season for us to take care of one another and our community. May we grow and flourish in what it means to do "one anothering" well at this time, and may this include a growing comfort to reach out to one another in our time of need so we can love, serve, encourage, and otherwise care for one another and for the needs of other neighbours. |

MISSIONARY FOCUS THIS WEEK
J Gamache: Wycliffe in South East Asia - Praise God for how he has blessed the translation work thus far. Pray that God would continue to guide OJ and that he will be a light among the people he serves and walks with. Pray for meaningful and deep conversation in order to be able to share the gospel with them. Pray for continued safety and that of those who work with him in translation and that they will see how God's Word can speak to each of us in whatever situation they are in. Hear Africa Foundation: Pray for Hear Africa Foundation in Zimbabwe whose administrative team in Canada includes Bedium Zimbiti and Edith Jokomo in the field (she organizes everything on the ground there and empowers, encourages and strengthens the people on Zimbabwe to serve wholeheartedly). This organization was formed to support & empower families in Zimbabwe, to not only change their lives, but he community around them. Through agriculture, education, orphan care, medical care and ongoing support, entire communities have been transformed. Over the past year, many poor families continue to be affected in developing countries due to the globe pandemic. Women and children are unable to access basic needs because of Covid-19. Please pray for the vulnerable people in Zimbabwe as they continue to face the challenges that Covid brings. To see newsletters from our missionaries, please contact the church office! There is much more to hear about and pray about beyond these summaries |

PRAYER & PRAISE
Fort Family: Please pray for Pat Whitworth and her eldest brother, Peter. Peter, who lives in England has sustained a fall while at home, and is currently awaiting rehabilitation treatment while in hospital this coming week. Please pray for God to sustain and care for Peter. Pray, too, for Pat and other loved ones who cannot be there for Peter on the heels of this accident. The Holy Spirit is Jesus’s gift for her- an extension of the comfort and presence of God. Please continue to pray for Karin Iversen's dear friend Lorri and her 20 year old son Cody, who was in a bad car accident. He was airlifted to VGH with serious injuries and is currently in a coma. Please pray for healing and strength for Cody, wisdom for the doctors and calm for Lorri. FLEFC Board: As we prepare for another AGM, please pray for our board, for good council and guidance as we move forward into planning and implementing through another year. Please pray for one another, as all of us are affected in this season. But remember that we are all affected differently. As I've heard it put a few times: We're all in the same storm, but in different boats. Pray for those who are sick, those who are in quarantine, and those whose job situations are affected by COVID-19. Pray for the lonely and the anxious, for front line workers and for others who are bearing added responsibility in this season. Pray for the people who have the heavy burden on making decisions about the response to Covid-19 in our community, province and country. Such a task is not considered easy nor one dimensional. Pray for health and objectivity and that they receive the physical and emotional support they need to make these tough decisions. Pray also that we and others comply to protect one another, as we know it is so easy to become tired in keeping up and being consistent to protocols and guidelines. |
