Thursday, October 31st promises to be a safe, fun, special night where Jesus is celebrated and all children involved will have a blast!
All children (toddlers-grade 6) are welcome to join us. All parents are naturally welcome; indeed parent chaperones are mandatory for kids age five and under.
Kids (and grown ups) can choose to be in costume or not....but if dressing up as many will choose to do, know that only non scary, non-spooky, positive costumes will be permitted.
There is now a new initiative in the works: admission is by donation of an item or two that could go into an Operation Christmas Child shoebox as a gift for a needy, deserving girl or boy overseas.
Are friends welcome? Of course! Most definitely...but in fairness, let them know our positive costume only mandate is for them, too!
THE EVENING ITSELF:
Doors will open at 5:45pm and let's get the program underway by 6pm sharp!
To kick off and wrap up our night, we have wonderful Kids' Worship music, a special session of focus at Pumpkin Gospel Station upstairs, and two venues to win loads and loads of candy- our Carnival 31 in the gym and Team for Treats Zone in the sanctuary.
There's SO,SO much to play and do to win all sorts of yummy candy! Bring a bag or bucket of your own to load on up! There's so much to remember, too: the love and light of Jesus! You'll be loading your bag with a craft about this, too!
There is no RSVP necessary nor official attendance and sign in due to the parent particpation nature of the evening. We will, however, post secure personnel at the main doorway at 8pm to make sure all kids safely exit with those to whom they belong.
Know that candy donations are already being gratefully accepted for this big event. Look for the bright red bin in our church foyer. You can't miss it.
And don't miss this: our exciting Light the Night Halloween alternative for families who want a safe, warm, dry and Jesus honoring evening for children!
