At Kids on the Rock we support intergenerational family worship for all and age specific Bible teaching for each!

As such, kids begin their time at 10am in worship with families and get dismissed for their specific hour of programming by 10:25am.

BIRTH-AGE 2 Tadpool

Rotating volunteer caregivers make themselves available to help your littlest ones discover church as a safe and welcoming place.  Toddlers hear about Jesus early on through play, toys and books and gentle interaction with their leaders.

Sign in of babies may happen anytime during the service and toddlers are dismissed along with our older children part way through our worship service.

 AGES 3 - 5  Junior Jumpers

Plenty of play begins the morning, singing and a creative Bible story lesson presented by a volunteer storyteller follows and  the session ends with fun and simple activities or crafts meant to rehearse and express the morning's learning. In their very first steps into very real faith, knowing God as Creator, King, Lover and Saviour is our hope and prayer for all of our Junior Jumpers. The Junior Jumper classroom is located on the upper floor and classtime runs for close to one hour, starting at that 10:25am kid dismissal from the worship service.

GRADES 1-3 Frog Squad

Expressive worship music, creative Bible teaching, application activities, games or crafts and prayer make for a busy and learning filled session for the kids.  Teaching is always Bible based and messages of choosing God's ways, trusting wholeheartedly in Jesus and learning to truly love others are taught to kids regularly.

Kids: come to be both fed and challenged from God's Word.  Invite a friend and bring your smiles!

GRADES 4-5-6 CROSSWALK Girls and Boys Groups

These groups designed for intermediate age older children strive for a smaller classroom setting and focus these preteens on relationships vertical ( real and lasting with God ) and horizontal ( strengthening ties with each other ).  These classes are staffed with teachers desiring to launch these older children well into their youth years, with meaningful sessions for growing in the knowledge and practice of God's Word and in the joy of sharing Sunday AMs together.

Volunteerism in the area of Kids on the Rock is as strong as it is enthusiastic. Thanks to each one of you involved in loving and serving our kids so well.  God's Word  is being taught and His love surely caught!  Blessings upon blessings to all children's workers - and of course the kids themselves- who make each Sunday morning so worthwhile!

Children's Protection Policies

Children's Protection Policies undergird the manner in which we minister to kids of all ages.  Our Children's Manual is built upon 6 covenants that serve to ensure a safe, quality environment for those in our charge as well as those who work with them.  We put high priority on loving our children through good policy and practice.  Copies of this  ministry manual are  available at our church office and reading and ownership of its contents is encouraged for all.

Communication to parents and caregivers as well as to children's workers benefits everyone.  In addition to regular e-bulletins through our church office and personal communications as often as possible on Sundays, the use of emails to families and broader website communications are part of keeping families in the know.  COMMUNICATION BACK from parents and caregivers is just as valuable.
