WELCOME

We are a group of ordinary people who are committed to knowing an extraordinary God.  We are a family, from the surrounding neighbourhoods of Fort Langley, Walnut Grove, Willoughby and beyond, who seek to have a “good news” impact in the communities in which we live.

We want our love for God be expressed in an ongoing relationship of seeking God with our heart, soul, mind, and strength.

We' want to be disciples who are seeking growth in our nearness to Jesus, and in becoming more like him, by the help of the Holy Spirit.

We're intent on seeking good for our neighbours and community by serving them and sharing the good news of the gospel.

Whether you are someone who is just starting to ask questions about God, or you are a committed Christ-follower who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here. Our hope is a be a community that proves that you really matter to us because you matter to God. If you do not yet belong to a church family, we invite you to give us a try!

OUR CURRENT SERIES

KINGDOMWISE: THE BOOK OF JAMES

The book of James is the letter of a man whose life was radically transformed by Jesus. James was the younger brother of Jesus. He initially didn’t believe that Jesus was who said he was, to the point that he actively tried to stop Jesus from spread of the good news of the Kingdom.

But things radically changed for James.

He had an encounter with the resurrected Jesus.

He experienced the filling of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

His life became a testimony to the transformative power of the King and Kingdom that he once tried to stifle.

James’ letter to the church is wisdom literature (in the vein of the book of Proverbs). But it’s a wisdom saturated in Jesus’s Kingdom teaching. It’s KingdomWise. His intent is to get us to think KingdomWise and to act KingdomWise. His words are at the same time intensely hard and immensely practical. Because James knows that lives that are resurrected with Jesus, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, can be radically different.

GRACE-SHAPED DISCIPLINES

“Disciplines” is a good word to describe various, age-old practices of followers of Jesus: practices like bible-reading, prayer, fasting, solitude and testimony. They demand commitment. They can be challenging. And they require discipline to maintain.

But these disciplines are grace-shaped.
They empower us for godliness.
The transform our hearts and minds to be more Christ-like.
They posture us for the filling of the Spirit.
And they grow us closer to Jesus.

The first Sunday of each month, we will focus on a different spiritual discipline, and we will walk away with different ideas for how to practice each discipline. Throughout the month, we will create space in our services for members of the church family to share the stories, insights and challenges that come out of our attempts to practice the disciplines. We’ll do all of this with anticipation of God graciously meeting us in our attempts to seek Him.
