To provide a predictable environment where participants experience authentic community and spiritual growth.

Small groups are the best environment to build authentic community because they develop the ABC’s of group life:  ACCOUNTABILITY – BELONGING – CARE.  All three are needed in life and ministry.

Think Life Change

This essential reminds us why we are doing what we are doing. We believe life change happens in a small group environment. Know the purpose of group life, and continue to remind yourself and your group why we are doing this.

Cultivate Relationship

While prayer and discussion of bible based curriculum are key elements of a life group, the driving force behind the group is the building of relationships.

Promote Participation

Leaders will navigate discussion, not teach curriculum. The difference is critical. When we ask open ended questions, we invite participation. More than sharing the right answers, we want people sharing their lives. We encourage authenticity among members. We want to create an environment where people feel free to be themselves.

Provide Care

As your group begins to build relationships with one another, a willingness to be available and care for each other will start to develop. Prioritizing the needs of others in our lifegroup is highly valued.

Strategic Service

We desire to have a positive influence with those outside our community. We encourage our groups to find an area where they can serve side by side. This may be monthly or seasonally.

Multiply Influence

Multiplying groups opens the door for others to participate in group life. It allows us the opportunity to multiply our influence. The goal of the group is to multiply after 18 – 24 months. This allows others to experience life change through life groups.
